  • Northern or North Sami (davvisámegiella) is the most widely spoken of all Sami languages which belong to the Finno-Ugrian branch of the Uralic languages. It is spoken in the northern parts of Norway, Sweden and Finland.Orthography of Northern Sami has experienced numerous changes.
