Northern Kurdish
Definition
- Northern Kurdish (Kurmanji) is a group of Kurdish dialects predominantly spoken in southeast Turkey, northwest Iran, northern Iraq and northern Syria. Northern Kurdish uses the Latin script. It is part of the Kurdish group within the northwestern branch of the Indo-Iranian languages.
