Ngumbarl

Definice

  • Ngumbarl (Ngombaru, Ngormbal) is an extinct, poorly-attested Nyulnyulan language formerly spoken in Western Australia, north of the town of Broome along the coast, by the Ngumbarl people. Like the vast majority of Australian languages, also Ngumbarl is morphologically ergative, with the nominal in the agent role marked with an ergative suffix and the subject and object unmarked.
